Please join us for a free concert, featuring some of the Twin Cities great artists, benefiting The Recovery Church Children’s Programs!  This event starts at 6 pm with a light picnic meal.  The concert begins at 7:00 pm!  This event is free and open to the public.  A freewill  donation will be collected and appreciated! TONIA HUGHES
Tonia is a proud recipient of the 2017 -2018 McKnight Fellowship for Musicians! She ’s a contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, and recording artist, and often engages in culturally diverse collaborations alongside some of Minnesota ’s most accomplished musicians.  The Twin Cities recording artist and actress is undoubtedly one of the best kept secrets in the Midwest. Her vocal style is colored with melodic acrobats and elements of Gospel,
Blues, Jazz, R&B, Rock and Worship. The fusion produces a delivery that is  authentic, incomparable and electrifying!  Tonia has garnered critical acclaim for her leading roles in musical and theatrical productions. Her credits include Encounters (2002), Southern Theater; Black Nativity (2003
– present), Penumbra Theater; Caroline or Change (2009), Guthrie Theater; Loves Covers (2010), Women ’s Club of Minneapolis; Mahalia (2011), Fellowship Baptist Church; and Cinderella, The Ordway Theater (2011).

BILLY STEELE
The youngest of the siblings, Billy, performs, writes, and produces for the Grammy Award winning ensemble, the Sounds of Blackness, for who he is currently serving as Assistant Director. He is the co-recipient of three Grammies via this talented ensemble. He continues to write and produce for various artists, including the Steeles. His voice has been heard on soundtracks with artists such as Rod Stewart, Luther Vandross and many more. Recently, he collaborated on the Disney soundtrack Legends, The John Henry Story, narrated by James Earl Jones.

SARA RENNER
Throughout her 20 -year professional music career, Sara Renner has shared her soulful blend of Gospel & Jazz music with diverse audiences in thousands of venues throughout the United States. Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota this award-winning vocalist and songwriter has independently produced six recordings! Also a seasoned worship leader, Sara Renner is currently the Director of Contemporary Worship at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN.  Sara is often accompanied by her band “The Elements”; an impressive group of musicians
who support her original music with their talents. Whether accompanied by one or two musicians in an acoustic setting or her full 11 –
piece band, Sara’s passionate vocal delivery, the integrity of her message and her vulnerable and funny storytelling open up a rare window into the human soul.
